What We Believe

We Believe…

  • That the most important thing in the world is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • That the most important privilege of a Christian is to worship God in spirit and in truth.
  • That the greatest force in the world is love, and that as Christians we are to  have “the love of God poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.”
  • That the Christian life is a life of positive faith (Hebrew 11:6).
  • That the Christian life is characterized by the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
  • That the Christian life is to be characterized by practical deeds of caring and love (I John 3:17-18)/
  • That the best thing we can do for persons is to guide them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • That we should love God more  than anything or anyone else.
  • That we should give God the best of all that we have in time, talents, and treasures.
  • That a Christian should live a life of integrity in order to reflect a Holy God.
  • In the sacredness of marriage and the family.
  • In the dignity and gift of singleness.
  • In the importance of the local church to help, encourage, strengthen, and mature in the spiritual life of every Christian.
  • In the necessity of daily prayer and Bible study in order to understand God’s will for our lives.
  • In a personal, supernatural God who is Lord of all and who is at work in the world today.
  • In the Bible as the unique Word of God and our “authority for all thinks necessary to salvation and Christian living.”
  • That all persons are created in the image of God regardless of differences in sex, race, or color.
  • That every Christian should be a positive influence for good in this world.
  • In the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for effective Christian living and witness.
  • In the necessity of spiritual conversion evidenced by confession of sin, repentance, and faith in Jesus Christ as the only way to fellowship with God.
