HOPE: When Waiting Feels Too Long

Nov 30, 2025    Pastor Ryan Willson

Welcome, friends—thank you for joining us online for the first Sunday of Advent.

Advent comes from the Latin adventus, meaning “coming” or “arrival.” It points us both backward—to Jesus’ first coming in Bethlehem—and forward to His return, when He will make all things new.

Advent reminds us that we live in the holy tension between those two comings. We celebrate what Christ has done, and we wait with hope for what He will finish. We’re people who are still longing, still trusting, still believing that God is at work.

Today, Pastor Ryan will speak on HOPE: When Waiting Feels Too Long from Luke 1:5–25.

We pray this service encourages you and that God meets you right where you are—He’s closer than your next breath.

If we can pray for you, please let us know. And we hope to meet you in person one day soon.

Welcome to worship!
